Hey I’m Nicci,

I live in a small village nestled in the Warwickshire countryside, with my other half, our three children and our three cats.

I studied Visual Communication specialising in photography at University, graduating way back in 2009, after graduating I came to realise that although I love photography, I wanted it to be just for me and not be a full time career. I’m still never far from a camera, whether it’s the camera on my phone or my DSLR, I take photos or video of just about everything.

After graduating I had a few retail jobs, mostly working in fashion outlets and shoe shops. I spent seven years at the main Post Office branch in my local town, I honestly loved this job it was fast paced and no two days were the same. Once my twins started school nursery and my eldest was in school full time, I decided I needed to move on to something where I could be at home more, in order to do school drop offs and collections. My other half works in the music industry, and spends a great deal of time away from home either on tour or at conferences around the world.

I have a huge love for books, I read so much, I finish most novels within a day or two! I always manage to find spelling mistakes or continuity errors when reading, or I find a sentence that just doesn’t make sense, and seeing where if it was changed slightly it would read much better and wouldn’t became an abrupt stop whilst you figure out what it means.

I figured now would be a good time to delve into something that would make me happy, whilst also allowing me the freedom to work from home, I enrolled on a course through the College of Media and Publishing, for Proofreading and Copy Editing. I finished the course in June 2021 having gained a distinction, I recently signed up to their creative writing course too.

My specialty is romance novels, mostly I go for haters to lovers, bully, steamy or shifter, anything for the bad boy turned good! I love seeing how different authors can spin basically the same story into their own works of art and how they define their main characters, bringing them to life and pulling you in to the world they created. Reading fiction is absolutely my favourite past time, loosing myself into someone else’s world is divine.
